At the time of this project, the legal sector was littered with outdated images and impersonal communications.

Urban Jungle was given the unique opportunity to redefine the brand image for Edmonton-based law firm Sharek & Co.

The forward-thinking firm understood and respected the needs of its clientele as it proposed a refreshing alternative to the cold and bland. After reviewing the competitive landscape, we developed a simple and stylish visual brand identity that was initiated by distilling the firm’s name from Sharek, Logan, Collingwood, and VanLeenen to simply, Sharek & Co., in honour of its founding partner. From there, the wordmark, colour palette, stationery, and website were created. Most of the law firms were awash in blues and greys, so we decided to visually reposition the firm in a vibrant red, portraying the passion of its team. Even after all these years, the updated identity still holds up. It is contemporary yet classic, professional yet relaxed, personable and balanced—just like the firm and its staff.
